  1. Thank you to all that donated to the Delay the Day fundraiser on Friday. As a secondary, we raised $190.45 total! That is awesome and it will be a great donation to make to CHAT. The winning class period was Mr. Runge's 7th hour, with a total of $90.25! Great job to them! 
  2. DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT: Both the High School and the Junior High will be having a dodgeball tournament on May 10th after lunch. Each team must consist of six people and at least two boys and two girls. Sign-up forms will be by Mr. LaRue’s room (205). Winners receive gift cards.
  3. Student Council: Lunch Meeting TODAY (May 9th) during Lunch in Mr. LaRue’s Room. 
  4. 8th-11th Graders: If you are interested in running for Student Council, there is a sign up in the Main Office. Information has been sent to you via email for more information. Any questions, see Mr. LaRue or contact one of your representatives.
  5. Make-up Time: Check with your teachers or Mrs. Boerm on how much time you owe. 
  6. Skip the Trip: Students interested in getting a driver’s permit may test here at North Tama. Tests are administered on Wednesdays at 3:30pm. Interested students MUST make an appointment with Mr. Youel at least a day before the test. To make an appointment, email or text 319-478-8052. You cannot test without an appointment. If you sign up the day of the test, you will need to wait until next Wednesday.

Junior High 

  1. Junior High: Think you can make better designs for the TV Bulletin? Want to add in things like memes and other announcements for the JH to see? Talk to Mr. LaRue to get dimensions for the bulletin and show us what you can do!


High School

  1. Silver Cord Opportunity! Join members of The American Legion Kubik-Finch Post No. 142 by helping to place flags & poppies at the Buckingham Cemetery on Thurs., May 26th, at 3:30pm. Take time to honor the brave men and women who served this country. Please contact Donna DeBoef with questions, 319-939-4881.
  2. Students who will be in grades 10-12 next year: Have you heard of Academic Decathlon? Are you curious about what we do and want to hear more about it?  Were you on the team last year and just couldn't get enough? If you answered yes to any of these questions, please talk to Ms. Hampton or Ms. Jensen.
  3. 2021-2022 Yearbook Cover Art Contest: A student design will be selected for the HS yearbook this year! All drawings are due to Mrs. Donaldson by May 20th. To learn about the requirements, visit Yearbook Cover Art Contest Requirements
  4. Seniors, this is your last week!!
    1. Sign Out Forms: Pick up your Sign Out form today to work on the rest of the week. It is mandatory that you are here through the senior lunch on Thursday. No teachers will sign the form until later in the week and all of your hours are made up and assignments are complete. Please do not ask them early! ;) 
    2. Senior Exit Questions: Ms. Linck sent you the form this morning.
    3. Senior Awards Night, Tues., May 10th: Social Time from 6:30 to 7pm with snacks and punch, and at 7pm the awards ceremony will start. All seniors and parents are encouraged to be there and dressed nicely. Questions should be directed to Ms. Linck at
    4. North Tama BASIC invites you to join us in celebration of the Class of 2022 as we honor our Senior class and their families at the annual Blessing of the Seniors on Wed., May 11, 2022 at 6pm at the Traer Memorial Building for a meal & message.
    5. Rehearsal Friday: MANDATORY. Report to the gym at 8:25am.
