Secondary

  1. Applications are now being accepted for the NT Space Camp Scholarship. This scholarship is available for students in grades 6-11. Applications are due Monday, January 29, 2018.  Confidential references from two different teachers are required, as well as the application, and are also due January 29, 2018. A committee consisting of community members and teachers will make decisions about the scholarship by mid-February.  The very valuable Space Camp Scholarship pays for approximately $1,100 in tuition and registration for each student.  For more information, visit http://www.n-tama.k12.ia.us/spacecamp2018

  1. High school students: do you have spare change just lying around? If so, bring it in to school! NHS will be putting on a penny war January 22 - January 26. Pennies donated to your class container will add to your total; other change will subtract. The class with the highest total will earn a donut party. In addition, if we raise $300 total, Mr. LaRue will dye his hair blonde! All proceeds from the penny war go to CHAT. Penny war money will be collected during HR.
  2. Any junior or senior interested in learning more about the Iowa Army National Guard, please let Ms. Reisner know of your interest. The reps from the National Guard will be here Monday, January 29, during homeroom. If you want to meet with them let me know so I can put you on the list. Thanks.
  3. The following SENIORS need to bring in their baby photos to the secondary office OR email them to Shelby McKinley at smckinley@n-tama.k12.ia.us:  Lexie, Tucker, Conway, Amber, Trinity, Orion, Lydia K., Michael, Spencer, Jacob, Polina, Keegan, Olivia, Nic, Andrea, Layne, and Lance.  Please get them in PRONTO!!

  1. The Traer-Dysart Knights of Columbus free throw contest is this Sunday, January 21, at 2 p.m. at the North Tama Gym. All boys and girls, ages 9 to 14 by January 1, are eligible to participate. Entry forms are in the main office. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.
